There is a lot to celebrate as the Lake Michigan Catholic High School Class of 2022 prepares to turn their tassels at tonight’s commencement ceremony. Every graduate is college-bound and their achievements are astounding. The Lake Michigan Catholic School Fund is proud of each and every student, and is pleased to award $15,000 in college scholarships to seven deserving recipients.
After sharing the exciting news of LMC’s upcoming name change to Our Lady of the Lake Catholic School, Fr. John Fleckenstein recorded a presentation that explain his comprehensive vision for the school.
A new era for Lake Michigan Catholic Schools began yesterday with the announcement that LMC is becoming Our Lady of the Lake Catholic School. The new name reflects the school’s renewed focus on education, faith and citizenship, a charge led by Canonical Pastor Fr. John D. Fleckenstein.
The Lake Michigan Catholic (LMC) School Fund believes that a quality, faith-based Catholic education should be available to families regardless of financial ability. In support of this conviction, the Fund currently maintains five endowments that contribute approximately $200,000 annually toward tuition assistance and scholarship programs at Lake Michigan Catholic Schools.
The Lake Michigan Catholic School Fund continued its mission to support Lake Michigan Catholic (LMC) Schools, successfully increasing the Fund’s corpus by 21% through a variety of fundraising efforts in 2020 and 2021.
Lake Michigan Catholic will showcase its newly reimagined music program at a Winter Holiday Band Concert and Reception on Monday, December 6 from 6:00 – 8:15 p.m. at Andrews University’s Howard Performing Arts Center.

The Lake Michigan Catholic Schools Class of 2021 was rewarded for their many achievements with more than $2.3 million in scholarships. The 24 graduates achieved nearly 100 percent college acceptance rate, with students going on to four-year schools, seminary or the military.
