My name is Chad Roden and I am the Coordinator of Youth Ministry for St. Joseph and Sts. John and Bernard Parishes. I wanted to reach out to you to let you know about some of the great programs that the Youth Ministry team will be hosting and how the Youth Ministry of the Parishes will be seen in the local schools.
Throughout the year the youth ministry program (4Churches Youth Ministry) will be hosting many programs for youth grades 6th – 12th. Dates and Activities will vary throughout the year. If you are interested in learning some of the specific dates please feel free to email me at email@example.com or by following us on Facebook or Instagram by searching for 4ChurchesYM.
So, as a parent you may be wondering what this means for your child as a student of LMC. The parishes’ program works along side Mr. Mansfield, the Campus Minister, to foster a deeper sense of Catholic Spirituality rooted in prayer, community, study, and service. Our program does not replace any programs that Mr. Mansfield has in place, but rather we help support him in the programs he establishes and continues to run for the school’s ministry to and for the students.
Last, but certainly not least, I wanted to share some information about the NET Missionaries that will be serving our youth. NET (National Evangelization Teams) is a nation wide organization that has been leading youth closer to Christ for over 35 years. The teams consists of eight missionaries, four men and four women. They can range in age from eighteen to twenty eight. Each team member goes through extensive training, background checks, and policy studies to begin their ministry with NET and then with our parishes. They will be working alongside the Youth Ministry Program in the area to reach out to kids at LMC and all the local public schools. They will host many events like the Open Youth Rooms, every Thursday after school until 5:30 pm for Middle and High School Students and every Tuesday after school till 5:00 pm for High School Students only, in the Rose Center. The majority of their ministry here will be spent meeting the students where they are through one-on-one and group style ministries. You will also see them at many local sporting events cheering on teens, starting small groups, or inviting students play different sports or other group activities. Their ministry will help us as a church be more fully present and active in the lives of our youth. They would love to come to support your child in any of their programs and activities, please feel free to send an email to us with the information about these events.
Youth Ministry events will be held year round including several large events like the Steubenville Youth Conference and Diocesan Youth Rally. However events with the NET Missionaries will only be held from September through May.
If you would like more information on any of our programs, or about the missionaries, or myself, please feel free to contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org or call me at 269-983-1575 ext. 17. If you would like to meet with me face to face, I have office hours at the Morlock Center on Wednesdays from 9:00 AM – 4:30 PM. Thank you for your time and I look forward to meeting you in person.
Peace and All Good in Christ,
